Ways to get involved in Fiji
Here's what our partners are running right now. Pick a placement that looks like a fit and we'll send the current dates and costs.
Why AmeriCorps alumni choose Fiji
Fiji placements sit in village communities, which is the whole appeal: you live and work inside the community rather than commuting into it. Teaching is the main focus, and English is widely spoken, so you can be useful in a classroom quickly. Weekly costs are moderate and stays run from one to twelve weeks. Alumni who served in rural or tribal communities in the U.S. often say Fiji felt the most familiar in terms of how relationships and trust get built.
- Village-based teaching placements
- English widely spoken
- Relationship-driven community work
Placements run through International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ).

If you're using your Segal Education Award
Award funds have to go to a Title IV school, so your placement needs to carry academic credit. That required academic credit and enrollment fee starts at $999 and is on top of the program fees above. We'll walk you through it.
Fees change through the year. Ask us for the current Fiji numbers and we'll confirm them with the partner before you apply.
