Ways to get involved in Jordan
Here's what our partners are running right now. Pick a placement that looks like a fit and we'll send the current dates and costs.
Why AmeriCorps alumni choose Jordan
Jordan is one of the best value destinations we track. Most placements are in Amman, with some in Madaba, Al Mafraq, and Tafilah, and the work runs through learning centers and NGOs: women's education, refugee support, special needs and medical centers, and seasonal Ramadan projects. Arabic is the official language and programs are built for English speakers, but a few phrases change how the first week goes. Because weekly costs are low, a full award can fund several months here, which is unusual and worth taking advantage of if you can take the time off.
- Placements in Amman, Madaba, Al Mafraq, and Tafilah town
- Projects in women's education and youth support
- Options to assist in special needs and medical centers
Placements run through Intern Abroad HQ and International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ).

If you're using your Segal Education Award
Award funds have to go to a Title IV school, so your placement needs to carry academic credit. That required academic credit and enrollment fee starts at $999 and is on top of the program fees above. We'll walk you through it.
Fees change through the year. Ask us for the current Jordan numbers and we'll confirm them with the partner before you apply.
