Ways to get involved in New Zealand

Here's what our partners are running right now. Pick a placement that looks like a fit and we'll send the current dates and costs.

Why AmeriCorps alumni choose New Zealand

New Zealand is internships only, all based in Auckland. Tracks cover business administration, marketing and communications, graphic design, event management and PR, and tourism and hospitality, so it suits alumni who want résumé-ready work in an English speaking office. You live in student apartments with a private room and cook for yourself. Placements run twelve to twenty-four weeks. Costs sit at the higher end of what we list, so an award offsets a meaningful share of a longer placement.

  • Career tracks in business, marketing, design, events, and tourism
  • Private room in Auckland student apartments
  • English speaking workplaces with supervisor coaching

Placements run through Intern Abroad HQ.

If you're using your Segal Education Award

Award funds have to go to a Title IV school, so your placement needs to carry academic credit. That required academic credit and enrollment fee starts at $999 and is on top of the program fees above. We'll walk you through it.

Fees change through the year. Ask us for the current New Zealand numbers and we'll confirm them with the partner before you apply.
